TEKNOFEST Adana Continues to Bring Together Thousands of People on the Second Day


Türkiye's largest aviation, space and technology festival TEKNOFEST continues unabated on its second day in Adana. Visitors met with a full program again with flight shows, activities on the main stage and TEKNOFEST Kids stage.

 

The TEKNOFEST Startup Program, organized by the T3 Startup Center, celebrated the graduation of startups participating in the DENEYAP Startup Program and the ROTA Acceleration Program during the Demoday held at TEKNOFEST Adana.

The event took place on the TEKNOFEST Champions League stage, starting with an opening speech by İrem Bayraktar Aksakal, Vice Chair of the T3 Foundation Board and Coordinator of the T3 Startup Center. Following the opening remarks, the event continued with the TEKNOFEST Startups Experience Sharing Panel, moderated by İrem Bayraktar Aksakal. During the event, Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairman of the BAYKAR Board, presented awards to the graduating teams.

The Gaziantep Keşif Kampüsü, a child university project aimed at connecting children with science and technology to prepare them for the future, offers training that develops scientific inquiry and exploration skills. Additionally, it supports social and emotional skills through art and personal development workshops. The Gaziantep Keşif Kampüsü, Türkiye's first of its kind, was established on April 23, 2022, in collaboration with the Gaziantep Governorship, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, T3 Foundation, Gaziantep University, Hasan Kalyoncu University, Sanko University, and the Gaziantep Provincial Directorate of National Education.

At the Gaziantep Keşif Kampüsü, 265 students selected through a two-stage examination successfully completed 384 hours of workshop training over two years. During this process, students enjoyed a rich educational journey filled with science festivals and projects, and received significant training from various academics as part of the "Academic Program." Those who completed their training received their diplomas from Selçuk Bayraktar during the “Gaziantep Keşif Kampüsü Graduation Ceremony” on the main stage of TEKNOFEST Adana. The ceremony was also attended by Gaziantep Deputy Governor Murat Akyüz, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin, Gaziantep University Rector Prof. Dr. Arif Özaydın, and Gaziantep Provincial Director of National Education Dr. Erdal Kılınç.

On the second day of the festival, breathtaking aerial displays took place once again. The Aksungur dazzled spectators with its unforgettable glide, while the joint flight of Hürkuş, Hürjet, and Anka-III impressed visitors. The demonstration flight of the Atak Helicopter and the formation flight of F-16 Solotürk & Bayraktar TB3 received great applause, followed by a formation flight of Bayraktar Akıncı and Hürjet. As always, our national pride, the Turkish Stars, left their mark on the sky.

The festival inspires participants of all ages interested in technology with technology competitions, science workshops, and seminars. Visitors had the opportunity to participate in various activities related to unmanned aerial vehicles, robotic technologies, and space exploration.

On the second day of TEKNOFEST Adana, BAYKAR General Manager Haluk Bayraktar visited the festival. The top three competitors in the TEKNOFEST Drone Championship received their awards from Haluk Bayraktar. Meanwhile, during the training round of the World Drone Cup competition, Bayraktar visited the competition area, chatted with competitors, and took photos.

The festival, ongoing at Şakirpaşa Airport until the evening of October 6, is hosting many firsts. The program includes unforgettable events for participants of all ages, featuring aerial acrobatics, advanced technology simulations, scientific workshops, and immersive exhibitions. This year, the TEKNOFEST Champions League, held for the first time, continues to bring together Turkey's most successful technology teams on the festival's second day. From October 2-6 at Adana Şakirpaşa Airport, teams are competing for exciting prizes: 500,000 TL for first place, 300,000 TL for second, and 200,000 TL for third. The most successful teams, as evaluated by expert jury members, will qualify for the final day of the competition.

Under the theme "From Roots to the Future," the TEKNOFEST Digital Universe experience area brings together the rich scientific heritage of the past with today's technological achievements. Participants embark on a digital journey in the footsteps of scientists from Anatolia.

With "In the Wake of Victory," the Çanakkale Digital Experience Area allows participants to experience the challenging struggle of Mehmetçik at the Çanakkale front through an extraordinary simulation, completing this experience in a victory area blended with today's technology.

Visitors at TEKNOFEST Adana are treated to a mesmerizing journey through time. The TEKNOFEST Time Tunnel showcases the story of all TEKNOFEST festivals from the past to the present. This special area visually narrates the key events and technological innovations of each year, offering visitors a chance to explore the history of TEKNOFEST step by step. Additionally, many significant details—from projects launched for the first time at the festivals to the overall organization—await visitors in this tunnel.

From October 2-6, 2024, TEKNOFEST Adana will host technology enthusiasts from all over Türkiye, providing an unforgettable festival experience across various fields, from science to aviation, and digital experiences to engineering. Visitors to the festival can opt for public transportation from designated shuttle areas. Those wishing to closely follow the unique shows can register online for quick entry. Entrance to the festival is completely free, and registration is not required for visitors under 7 years old.
